The location of the property is ideal for those who want to admire the evocative and beautiful medieval quarter of Orvieto without sacrificing accessibility. Teodorico’s rooms are, in fact, just a few steps away from the historical center and from the Duomo and can be reached by car by parking at the Foro Boario, the former Campo della Fiera. Thanks to a modern lift or comfortable escalators that wind through a path of evocative tunnels in the tufa underground of Orvieto, you can reach Piazza Ranieri in 3 minutes.

For those travelling with a lot of luggage, we recommend using the lift.

By train

Orvieto can be easily reached by train as it is on the Rome-Florence-Milan railway line. Florence and Rome are respectively two hours and one hour away from Orvieto station, with which they are well connected. For information on train times, visit the Trenitalia website.

Once you get off at the station, you will find the funicular railway that will take you to Piazza Cahen, the starting point of the shuttle bus that goes to Piazza della Repubblica, where you will reach your destination in 3 minutes.

The funicular’s timetable varies from 7.15 am to 8.30 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 8.30 pm on public holidays. The shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes.
