Orvieto is a city deeply connected to its traditions and hosts events throughout the year that attract visitors from all over Italy. Spring and summer are among the best times to discover the city’s most authentic character, thanks to events that bring together culture, entertainment and history.

Among the most eagerly awaited events of 2026 are the celebrations of Corpus Domini, a tradition whose roots date back to the Middle Ages and which continues to be one of the most important occasions for the local community. From 30 May to 7 June, the historic centre comes alive with the Orvieto Historical Procession and the Ladies’ Procession, involving hundreds of participants in period costumes parading through the streets in a truly unique atmosphere.

The spring season also features events dedicated to flowers, craftsmanship and local traditions. One of the highlights is Orvieto in Fiore, an event that transforms squares and narrow streets into a colourful route filled with floral installations and cultural initiatives.

During the summer, the calendar becomes even richer with concerts, performances and outdoor events for both residents and visitors. Thanks to its strategic location, Orvieto also offers easy access to some of Umbria’s most important festivals, such as Umbria Jazz, which in July 2026 will bring artists and musicians from around the world to the region.
